![]() There are plenty of restaurants nearby to choose from that are much cheaper. We had to wait 20 minutes and the food was not very good. I also would not recommend the breakfast. My daughter got to see Santa during our stay and that was really magical! He was the “real” Santa and took his time with each child. I would recommend asking for the top floor for your stay. ![]() We were on the 4th floor so we slept very well. We walked the stairs when we could to avoid the crowds. The two they have are very slow and VERY busy. $15 per towel if not scanned in with your wristband? It’s a pain to scan for towels and then have to go back to return them afterwards. We frequent waterpark hotels and I’ve never seen anything like it. But, I find the towel policy really strange. A $48.04 charge appeared on my card and I called the lodge and they refunded my money which was a relief. Overall, we had a wonderful time! However, I was charged for 3 towels even though I returned them. Abundant seating that includes tables and chairs. Needless to say, we have major buyers’ remorse. That means you’re sitting in a chair holding all the towels, all the kids clothes and shoes, any food you might purchase, and, if you have a drink, it has to sit in the floor. Outside of those and four cabanas (that are on an upper level and not practical if you have smaller kids in the park), there are mesh chairs - and you’ll be lucky to get one of those without camping outside the doors before they open. ![]() There are three tables and those are literal picnic tables. The park is small with grossly insufficient seating. They did offer us another room, but we checked in at midnight and the kids had already started unpacking - we weren’t in the mood to gamble on another room on another floor. It’s loud and literally vibrates like there’s a semi idling below it. Our room (a pricy Wolf Den) is next to the kitchen vents apparently. My guess is they are making easy (BIG) money during the warm months on Cedar Point traffic so they have no motivation to improve. This is our first and last visit to GW Sandusky. We’ve done a water park EVERY January for the last 10 years.
